Raycar is Fully Equipped with CNC Turning, CNC Milling, EDM, OD ID Hard Turning, CNC OD Grinding and ID Grinding
Our Puma and Daewoo CNC Lathes and Mazak QTN4002KY CNC Lathe with 10, 12 and 15 inch chucks permit easy set-up for low volume turning jobs, as well as, high volume turning capacity. Our CNC lathes have the capacity to turn up to approximately 23 inches in diameter and fitting parts up to approximately 50 inches long. Our experienced operators are easily able to hold tight tolerances.
OD ID Hard Turning Regularly Included in Raycar CNC Lathe Process Routing
Raycar’s modern Haas VF-3 CNC Vertical Mill with a forth axis and a 12 inch chuck assists our Haas VF-2 Vertical Mill with all milling and drilling operations. One of our machining centers’ has a table size of 40 x 20 inches offering 24 tool changes. These machines are fully tooled with carbide tooling. Our capable operators are accustomed to holding tight tolerances.
Our cross-trained operators use Master Cam X6 and ESPRIT with the latest version of gear software for both 2D and 3D programming and tooling design. Raycar can receive and support digital datasets in all standard file formats, saving us time and our customers’ money. Our extensive experiences with CAD/CAM allow us to set-up and program jobs in minutes instead of hours, providing our customers with the flexibility they need for quick responses to critical requirements. When OD ID hard turning is not done as part of the CNC lathe process, Raycar’s Heald ID Grinders and Toyoda CNC OD Grinder are used. All OD and ID grinding and OD ID hard turning is done in house enabling Raycar to more easily maintain scheduled delivery dates.
When highly modified gear profiles are required, Raycar has Wire EDM capabilities. Our Wire EDM Machine, complete with gear software, can also be used when cutters are not available. This machine also gives us the option to EDM higher precision keyways.
