Raycar is modernly equipped to hob any spur gear, helical gear or splined shaft up to approximately 20 inches in diameter. Our wide variety of tooling allows us to cut any standard or metric requirement and consistently maintain up to AGMA class 9 quality.

Raycar has recently added a Mitsubishi GD30 CNC Hobbing Machine which makes a perfect companion to our Mitsubishi GD50 CNC Hobbing Machine These modern hobbing machines are outfitted with high accuracy worm gear table designs resulting in increased accuracy on high production applications. Both machines have increased feed rates on all axes and increased table and spindle rotational speeds to improve Raycar’s productivity.These machines have greatly increased Raycar’s hobbing capacity.

We also have NC Hobbing Machines with a wide variety of tooling. Our operators are experienced and always cross-trained for increased efficiency.

Depending on customer needs, Raycar has the ability to perform hob only operations for customers supplying gear blanks, or we can perform the work complete. Please allow us to quote your hobbing requirements both ways.
